
Welcome to Spanish Essence! First of all thank you for taking the time to visit our site. Spanish Essence is a young company created for those who love authentic spanish foods and wines. Let me introduce myself, this company is owned and operated by me Marcel Badia our company is based in Concord CA, and my goal is to introduce as many people as possible to some of the wonderful foods Spain has to offer.
I was born and raised in Barcelona, Spain. I migrated to the U.S several years ago and found myself missing the Essence of my culture, the fine foods and wines. I began searching for products that I was accustomed to eating back home. I found it hard and at times impossible to find some of my hometown products at local stores. I would satisfy my cravings by going out to restautants but as many of you know that can get be very pricey and I could not endulge in this everyday. As a native from Spain it has been difficult to be without eating the foods that I grew up with. Spanish culture is all about a casual atmosphere , relaxation and social gatherings, this is present in the way we eat! We use Tapas as appetizers before a big meal or simply snack between meals in the company of friends and family.
Gourmet stores are not in every corner and products from other countries can be hard to find. Then we have the internet, where you can find just about anything. Spanish Essence is aware that we have tough competitors that have been established for years. We offer a website that is easy to navigate with fair competetive prices. All orders are generally ship within 1 to 2 business days.
All products are in stock.
Certain products are perishable require overnight or next day air shipping.
Orders with perishable products may be held until the start of the following week to avoid being in transit over the weekend.
We do not charge a handling or box charge on any order.
On average, shipping cost fall into the $8-$20 range for most orders depending on the weight and destination.
We reserve the right to make changes to the shipping fees at any time. In the event an adjustment is necessary, you will be contacted for approval prior to shipping the package or making any changes.

How are the shipping charges calculated?
Shipping charges depend on the weight of the items being ordered and how far the package has to travel. We are located in California, so deliveries to the East Coast of the USA will cost just a bit more than those to the West Coast.
The rates quoted on our site are calculated based on the items that you have added to your shopping cart. The data is sent electronically to the shipping provider and an accurate real-time quote is provided for you. We charge the actual shipping rates quoted to you by the shipping provider; we do not make a profit on the shipping. Being as the shipping quote is an automated process, if you feel that there is an error please notify us and we will do our best to remedy the situation.
Do you ship to Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam, APO addresses, etc.?
Yes! We are happy to ship to Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam, APO addresses, and other US territories. Orders to these countries will ship via the US postal service.
