Social Responsibility

Spanish Essence wants to contribute to the world with a social responsibility cause. We are commited to help a non profit organization called "Sonrisas de Bombay" (Smiles of Bombay) located in Bombay, India. Founder Jaume Sanllorente an economist journalist from Barcelona was vacationing in India, he was impressed with the warmth of the people and soon after fell in love with the people and the country.

He decided to make a second trip to Bombay. In this trip he became aware of an orphanage that could not afford to take in one more child and was about to close due to lack of funds. That day he learned about "Rohit" one of the children from the orphanage that need epilepsy treatment that costs about $15 month. The orphange could not afford such treatment for Rohit.

Jaume perplexed with the needs of the center and started working on ways to help meet the needs of the orphanage. This took him on a live changing journey.

Now in Barcelona his goal is to turn the project into a solid Non profit Organization or ONG(Organizacion No Guvernamental) to establish continous help to the orhanage and its children. Jaume decided to quit his job as a journalist and completely focus on this project and invested all he had into the orphanage project . Their work is focused on taking care and educating orphan children and impoverished families in Bombay. Spanish Essence will donate 1% of the monthly earnings to Sonrisas de Bombay.
